In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Peru exhibited diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here, we take a closer look at the performance of Netflix, Mi Movistar Perú, América tvGO, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+.
Netflix saw a gradual decrease in weekly downloads from around 67.7K at the beginning of October to approximately 38.6K by early December, before experiencing an uptick, peaking at 46.9K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, dropping from 2.97M in early October to around 2.68M in late November, then recovering to nearly 2.8M by the end of the year.
Mi Movistar Perú exhibited relatively stable download numbers, ranging from about 27.8K to 37.2K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 561.8K in late September and peaking at 605.4K in mid-October, before settling around 560.1K by the end of December.

The app's weekly revenue also showed upward momentum, growing from $722 at the start of October to a high of $1.7K by mid-December. Weekly active users peaked at 78.9K in mid-November, before decreasing to approximately 36K by the end of December.
Amazon Prime Video had a varied download trend, starting at about 18.2K in late September and reaching nearly 33K by the end of December. Weekly revenue remained consistent, averaging around $3.5K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users ranged from 154.1K to 177.3K, showing a steady user base.
Disney+ saw a notable increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, rising from around 21.8K in mid-October to over 40.3K in the final week of December. Its weekly revenue followed a similar trend, growing from $22.3K in mid-October to $26K in the last week of December. Weekly active users also increased significantly, from 559.1K in late September to over 701.5K by the end of December.
